What is Your Cars JPC Rating?

Filed under: What is Your Cars JPC Rating? — Administrator @ 2:19 am

What affect did the last car you bought have on the American Economy?
What affect has the economy had on you?

Only you can answer how the economy is affecting you. To find out how the last car you bought affected our economy, go to “The Level Field” website (see link below) and check your car’s “JPC” (Job Per Car) rating. Send all your friends a link to this blog site and have them get their car’s “JPC” rating.

A group of retired autoworkers joined together and formed “The Level Field Institute” and developed this website. These guy have done a great job here and should be commended for their efforts.

http://levelfieldinstitute.org/

AFTER VISITING “THE LEVEL FIELD” WEBSITE COME BACK TO THIS BLOG AND GIVE US YOUR COMMENTS OR CREATE YOUR OWN BLOG FOR OTHERS TO COMMENT. THIS ACTION IS VERY IMPORTANT. THE MORE BLOGGING ACTION THAT IS DONE ON OUR “YOUROPINION-PRICELESS.COM” WEBSITE, THE MORE TRAFFIC IT WILL ATTRACT. LET’S BLAST THIS SITE WITH BLOGS AND MAKE IT ONE THE HOTTEST SITE ON THE INTERNET ALONG WITH “THE LEVEL FIELD WEBSITE”

Not only will blogging attract more traffic, blogging also will enhance this site’s visibility to search engines to bring you more traffic. Blogging is one way that we can fight back. I am sure there are several other ways, but blogs are simply the most explosive outbreak in the information world since the Internet itself.

Information from “THE LEVEL FIELD INSTITUTE” website needs to be presented to every American that will be buying a new automobile in the near future. They need to compare the effects on America’s Economy if they bought a vehicle made by the “American Auto Industry” or a vehicle made by the “Foreign Auto Industry”. We can go on forever about what is happening to America’s Economy and our theories of why it is happening. With the automotive industry downsizing, affecting auto industry related companies, workers loosing their jobs and can’t pay their mortgages, foreclosed homes, and on and on. A lot of America’s economic problems are automotive industry related.

If you already buy your vehicles from the “American Auto Industry” then our hats are off to you and hope that you will comment or write your own blog. Send a link or tell your friends of our efforts and have them blog to help us tell others. If you don’t buy your vehicles from the “American Auto Industry” , to save our economy, please consider looking at, I mean really look at, “THE LEVEL FIELD” Website. Is the foreign car you buy worth more than your life in the United States as your have known it? If you don’t have any problem with the way the American Economy is headed and what your life may be like if our economy is controlled by the “Foreign Auto Industry”, then “Just walk away” and forget about it. Its not only your life ahead of you, but also your children and your children’s children.

Just food for thought, the terrorist have made statements that they will bring America DOWN. Could they be part of the BIG picture? What is your thoughts?

    America’ Auto Industry

Filed under: Blog for America — Administrator @ 12:53 am

The American Auto Industry is the single greatest engine of economic activity in the United States.

America’s automakers - General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler have played a central roll in the development and growth of the American economy and remain at the heart of industrial America.

The American companies face unprecedented competitive challenges from auto producers around the world. They not only have a challenge from the foreign auto market, but from right here in America. The consumers in America have become an unprecedented challenge by buying foreign automobiles, which take away from America’s economy. Each of our Big 3 American auto manufactures had problems in the past with some of their line of products. A lot of the auto consumers turned to the foreign market looking for a better automobile. A lot of them felt they had found a better product in the foreign market and refuse to buy another American product. As nature would have it, their children followed with the same trend until our automobile industry has been faced with downsizing and laying their workers off. They are also buying out their older workers that are making the higher wages and replacing them with lower paid younger workers. This has to be done for them to be more competitive with the foreign market.

A lot of the foreign auto manufactures are building new plants while our own domestic auto manufactures are closing plants. The automobile manufactures, along with the industries that depend on them, is the largest industry in America. They have become known as “The Heartbeat of America” and we are giving that away to the foreign auto market. If you will really, I mean really, take a look at how the auto industry affects the American economy, you will see why they have the title of “Heartbeat of America”. Toyota is pressing GM as the No 1 auto manufacturer in the world. Will the foreign auto industry soon be known as “The Heartbeat of America”? Sad isn’t it, especially, when you can see how America is treated by the foreign countries that control our oil products and the price of gas at the pumps. All they have to do is say “we are cutting production” or “price per barrel of oil is going up” and the price at the pump goes up, and “There is NOTHING we can do about it”. Can we afford to have the foreign countries control the Heartbeat of America?

A lot of the best cars made are now made right here in America by our own American Automobile Industry. We have met the challenges from the auto producers around the world by surpassing their quality of competitive vehicles. We feel that our own auto industry, which has been at the heart of America and the central role in the development and growth of the American economy, deserves a serious look when it comes time for your investment in a new automobile and the American economy. You are not only buying a new car, but also buying into your future and your children’s future.

America! Are we really saving by thinking that “buying foreign automobiles for whatever reasons???” is the answer. Thinking that “we can get better gas mileage”, thinking that “we will have a better car”, thinking that “we will have a more prestigious car” or thinking that “we are saving money” is not America’s or your answer? It may look good in the short term, but let’s look at it realistically. Now that enough Americans are buying foreign automobiles to affect the economy, what is happening? GM, Ford and Chrysler have downsized and a lot of people have lost their jobs. Industry that depends on the auto manufactures have either gone out of business or cut production which causes more layoffs. Wages are being cut or raises have almost deceased. New home production has all but stopped, more jobs lost. People can no longer pay for their homes, foreclosures way up. Businesses are leaving the state, loosing revenue. Where does it stop??? As a consumer we did it to ourselves along with some bad or panic decisions by the industry. Can we correct it???

I say we can. Put GM, Ford and Chrysler back in the driver seat by being more loyal to our own domestic auto manufactures and less loyal to our foreign competition. GM, Ford and Chrysler need to be operating in the black and not spending all their efforts trying to keep their head above water and staying ahead of the competition. They need to concentrate more on “How do we make America independent of foreign oil.”

This is our opinion, what’s yours? Everyone has an opinion, let’s hear yours. The solution the “big guys” are using right now is not working maybe you have the right one or a portion of the right one!!

Check back later, we have some statistics on America’s economy and the affects that America’s auto industry and the foreign auto industry has on it.

    America’s Economy

Filed under: General Blogs — Administrator @ 12:49 am

“What America drives, drives America,” says the slogan of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association (AAMA), the trade association of the three American car manufacturing companies—Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. And the influence of the automotive industry can hardly be overrated. It is the country’s largest manufacturing industry, contributing $260 billion a year to the economy. Those three companies rank among the world’s largest corporations, with a combined employment base of nearly 700,000 and a total payroll in excess of $35 billion annually. Together with their suppliers and dealers, they employ 2.3 million Americans in more than 4,000 facilities and 18,000 dealerships throughout the United States. According to the AAMA, one out of every seven jobs in this country is automotive-related.

With that said, let’s look some statistics

Domestic parts content for new vehicles sold in North America†
    General Motors …………………………………………………..78%
    Honda ………………………………………………………………..59%
    Toyota ………………………………………………………………..48%
    BMW ………………………………………………………………….11%
    Infiniti ………………………………………………………………….10%
    Kia ……………………………………………………………………….3%
    Hyundai…………………………………………………………………3%
    Lexus ……………………………………………………………………2%

†Source: 2005 AALA Report, Automotive News Data Center

Jobs per 100 vehicles sold in the U.S.††
    GM, DCX, Ford ……………………………………………………..22.4
    Japanese Cos. ………………………………………………………15.5

††Source: GM estimates based on BLS

GM, Ford, and Chrysler face unprecedented competitive challenges from auto producers around the world. The statistics shown above gives you an idea how the foreign auto manufactures affects America’s economy. With American consumers turning to the foreign automotive market looking for a more economical vehicle, due to the runaway gas prices, it has become a bigger challenge for the American auto manufactures to stay competitive. In an effort to stay competitive the American automobile industry is faced with downsizing their companies and laying off their work force. They are also buying out or offering an early retirement to their older workers that are in the higher wage structure and replacing them with younger workers at a much lower pay scale. This has to be done to stay competitive with the foreign market which does not have the overhead cost as the domestic manufactures.

A lot of the foreign auto manufactures are building plants within the United States while our own domestic auto manufactures are downsizing. Then they convince the American consumers that they are contributing to the American economy the same as the domestic manufactures. The charts above shows you some bearing on those thoughts. Toyota is pressing GM as the No 1 auto manufacturer in the world and at the present trend, that will be happening soon.

The American Automobile Industry, “The Heartbeat of America” is getting smaller while the foreign auto manufactures are taking a bigger bite out of our economy. We, as consumers buying foreign autos, are giving “The Heartbeat of America“ to the foreign market. Can we afford that? Can we afford to “Just Give It Away”? As consumers, we need to give this a lot of thought the next time we are looking to buy our next automobile.
The American Automobile Manufacturers Association’s slogan is “What America drives, drives America,” That phrase tells you how important it is to make sure that the American Auto Manufactures remain “The Heartbeat of America”.
Some more food for thought. I am sure everyone is familiar with how the American economy is affected with the foreign countries controlling our oil products and the price of gas at the pumps. Will it be any different if foreign countries control our automotive industry, the “Heartbeat of America“?
Now that enough Americans are buying foreign automobiles to have a big affect on our economy, take a look at what is happening? GM, Ford and Chrysler have downsized and a lot of their workforce have lost their jobs. Companies that depend on the auto manufactures have either gone out of business or cut production which causes additional layoffs. Most employee of the Big 3 that are still working either had their wages decreased or for an extended time never received a wage increase to keep up with the cost of living. New home production has almost stopped, more jobs lost. People can no longer pay for their existing homes, foreclosures way up. Home values have dropped, has Yours? If you bought a new foreign automobile for what ever reason, was it worth the value that your home value decreased???

The American Automobile Industry, which has been at the heart of America and the central role in the development and growth of the American economy, deserves a serious look when it comes time for your investment in a new automobile and our faltering economy. You are not only buying a new car, but also buying into your future and your children’s future.
This is Our Opinion, What’s Yours? Everyone has an opinion, let’s hear yours.

    High Gas Prices

Filed under: General Blogs — Administrator @ 12:49 am

High gas prices, what do we do about them? Do we boycott gas stations on a certain day? Boycott certain gas stations on periodic bases? I say boycott a certain gas company until they lower their prices. After they lower their prices, buy from them and start boycotting another gas company. The only problem with this is it would hurt each individual station owner. On the other hand, we are all getting hurt by high gas prices, especially low income families.

The automotive industry, through development and advanced technology has developed automotive designs to alleviate our dependence on foreign oil. Both the American Automotive Industry and the foreign manufacturers are building hybrid vehicles that will greatly reduce gas consumption. Several of the new vehicles, (cars, trucks and busses) manufactured today are FlexFuel compatible with fuels such as E85 ethanol.

E85 ethanol fuel is a cleaner-burning, mostly renewable fuel source made from U.S. grown biomaterial, such as corn or other grain products. It helps reduce greenhouse gases and can enhance the nation’s economy and energy independence.

The general public needs to be informed about what vehicles run on FlexFuels and what vehicles are hybrids. Go to The Michigan Portal ( http://michiganportal.ws. ) for more information about General Motors products that gets over 30 mpg, vehicles that run on FlexFuels, information about GM’s all electric car (Volt) that they are putting into production. You will also find links to websites that has information about E85 ethanol and where to find service stations that sells this fuel.

We are all in this together and we need to do what we can for the nations economy and America’s independence to foreign oil. The faster we meet the challenge of informing the nation of this newly developed technology, the sooner we will gain that independence. Please email everyone you know about this blog and give them a link to The Michigan Portal ( http://michiganportal.ws. )
